About this policy

Unbudgetable is a household money planning and record-keeping app provided by Wheat & Steel Studio. This policy explains what the app stores and how that information is handled.

Information you enter

The app lets you enter information including:

• Your account balance and the time you last verified it.
• Your pay schedule, next payday, expected pay, and payday-specific estimates.
• Your safety buffer.
• Commitment names, amounts, due dates, recurrence, and status.
• Quick expenses, pay received, and balance-adjustment history.
• Household needs and completion status.
• Your financial-reminder preferences.

This information is stored in the app's local database on your device.

Information we collect or share

The app does not transmit this information to Wheat & Steel Studio or to a developer-operated server. We do not collect or share your financial information, personal information, app activity, identifiers, diagnostics, location, contacts, or files.

The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, bank connectivity, or cloud synchronization.

Backups

You may choose to export a readable JSON backup and select where it is saved using your device's file picker. You may also choose a backup to restore. The app does not upload backups to us. If you save one to a third-party storage provider or synchronized folder, that provider's privacy practices apply. Keep backup files somewhere you trust.

Notifications

If you enable financial reminders, the app requests permission to display local notifications. Notification text may include a commitment name, amount, due status, projected shortfall date, or an amount the forecast recommends keeping protected. Notifications may appear on your lock screen according to your device settings.

The app may use your device's boot-completed signal to restore local reminders after a restart. Reminder processing occurs on your device.

Forecasts

Available Today and future pay-cycle estimates are calculated on your device using the information you enter. They are planning estimates, not financial advice, and are only as complete as the information you provide and verify.

Data retention and deletion

Your information remains on your device until you edit or delete it, restore a different backup, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Exported backups remain where you saved them until you delete them separately. Because we do not receive your app data, we cannot retrieve or delete a copy on your behalf.

Security

The app relies on your operating system and device security to protect its local database. No storage method is completely secure. Use a device passcode and keep exported backups protected.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children and is intended for people managing household finances. Wheat & Steel Studio does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this policy and relevant store disclosures will be updated before the changed functionality is released.
